| We believe dog breeding should only ever have 2 purposes...... 1. To protect the integrity of the old breeds by improving their health and temperament, but without taking away their purpose and function. 2. To pass on to future generations that feeling & bond of love & friendship that only that once in a lifetime dog can bring. In a perfect world you could open any dog encyclopedia or go to the AKC Breed Standard and expect any dog you get of that breed would fit that description. Sadly, this is not the case. Each breed of dog has a written standard, a blueprint if you will, that defines how that dogs should look & behave. If all breeders were reputable breeders they would all abide by this and breed dogs accordingly so that each person knew what to expect from their dog and that is the goal of the reputable breeder. Backyard Breeders, Newspaper Breeder, and Puppy Mills ignore this altogether. They want money plain and simple. The dogs are not health tested...the pedigrees not researched...championships not achieved. Without proper health testing and research there is no way a breeder can guarantee anything about the dog they are selling and they don't care. We do!
